Role and Responsibilities

The successful Technician candidate performs timely skilled repair orders following factory standards.

  •  Performs diagnostic, maintenance and repairs of vehicle automotive systems including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
  • Executes repairs under warranty and follows manufacturer specifications.
  • Performs repairs efficiently with dealership expectations.
  • Communicates accurately with parts department for any needed parts.
  • Completes inspection sheets before and after service.
  • Documents all work performed on the work order.
  • Test drives vehicles, components, and systems to assure proper completion while using diagnostic tools and special equipment as needed.
  • Communicates clearly to Service Advisor with any vehicle concerns or upon work order completion.
  • Follows proper use and safe guidelines for all chemicals.
  • Follows proper safety guidelines with tools, lifts, vehicle exhaust and vehicle movement.
  • Maintains a professional and well-groomed Leachman image.
  • Prevents slips and falls by always wearing appropriate non-slip footwear.
  • Keeps Service bays clean and organized.
  • Maintains security of the work area, tool storage, and vehicle keys.
  • Deliver the vehicle to the service pick up area.
  • Completes all required training as needed.

Qualification and skills

  • Valid and clean Driver’s record for the past two years.
  • Strong automotive background. GM and ASE certifications, preferred.
  • Time-management skills. Teamwork. Attention to detail. Organized.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
